And I've meant sincerely each pledge said and have tried to live out my commitments. They have helped me to grow in holiness. And I do pray, even in public, before each meal. Next Thursday I'll lead our United Way golf outing gathering in prayer before the event concluding dinner.

The Anima Christi prayer is special, though. I have it on a laminated prayer card, and pray it often, but it was only as I looked at it again on your posting that I saw the word "Anima", in a new way, as the root of the word animate. Anima Christi, Soul of Christ, His soul is the animation of Him, and me. His body, His blood, His water, His Passion all do great things for me, but His Soul animates both Him and me --- He makes me alive; He makes me live. His grace, His Sanctifying Grace, pours forth from His soul, that I might live. It is a great prayer to sincerely ask for that grace, that I might TRULY live.

Soul of Christ, Sanctify me. Yes, there is more said in that prayer than I had realized.Do Not Be Anxioushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04607616214486933423noreply@blogger.com
